Hi, Shari Worthington here. During the day, I live in the world of B2B marketing, spending most of my time marketing complex products to scientists and engineers in the high tech and industrial automation markets. Got particle size instruments or laser diodes you need to move? That’s me! At night, I start rambling about politics! So here are the two hats I wear:
My agency, Telesian Technology is now over 20 years old. Our great team (award-winning, no less) works with a variety of startups and Fortune 500 companies. I take pride in having a fairly good feel for what works and what doesn’t. I’ve tried every kind of (legitimate) marketing program at least once. Today I spend a lot of time figuring out how to market to the increasingly fragmented business markets and I wrangle with the wild and wooly tools of e-marketing.
Oh, and about the “Marketing Goddess” title…it was bestowed upon me by the President of one of my first clients, Binary Engineering. For real. OK, he had some extra space when he printed everyone’s business cards and I was blessed with this great title. And no, I don’t think he intended for me to use in on my regular business cards Can you imagine walking into to a meeting with the Editor in Chief of PC Magazine (back in the day) and giving that title?!?! Nevertheless, I will always treasure that title.
When I get a chance to put down my pen from a long day’s marketing work, I get involved in politics. I have close friends from all political persuasions. I live in Massachusetts, how could I not And although I’m a conservative with libertarian leanings, I do believe in some level of government. Just not quite as much as today’s Democrat Party (and even some Republicans!)…LOL! You can follow my political ramblings here:
